Warning: danger!
Since the utilised water carries large amounts of sediments, especially during the snow melt or heavy thunderstorms, gravel and sand filter systems are installed downstream of the water retaining structures.
Sediments are removed from the water, thus minimising damage caused by wear. Sensors automatically trigger the flushing of the filter elements. This causes the removed gravel and sand to be returned to the creek bed.
Flushing can take place at any time – even in good weather.
Do not enter the stream bed!
Plant operations can cause surge waves (sudden rise in water level) at any time in the area around the power plants.
There is therefore an acute mortal danger to anyone in the stream bed!
For safety reasons, we urge you to abide by the instructions of the power plant operators.
We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
